R04- Interventions non médicamenteuses dans les états de stress post-traumatique

Modérateur - Wissam EL HAGE - Tours Cedex 9
Abstract

Trauma centered psychotherapy approaches including Cognitive Processing Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing have shown robust efficacy for the treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, and are recommended as first-line treatments. However, certain barriers including the lack of availability of trained therapists, stigma attached to receiving psychiatric care, or other logistical barriers limit their reach. Further, a sizable minority of patients who complete a full course of trauma-focused treatment do not fully respond fully, with lingering symptoms and impairment. This presentation will review and discuss evidence-based non-pharmacological treatments for PTSD, and novel treatment delivery modalities as well as innovative treatments approaches.
